After many years of Planning our NEW football practice facility located at the Grosse Ile Airport / Recreation Area is under construction!

Football Practice Notice

Just a reminder that practice starts on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. 

We will be at Parke Lane Elementary School again this year instead of the new field. Please arrive early.  

 

There will be a mandatory parents meeting at 7:15 p.m. at the field on Monday as well. 

 

Prior to Labor Day, practices will be held Monday - Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for both football and cheer -

please arrive promptly to pick up your children at the end of practice.  Football will also practice on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

 

Football players - please bring water (a gallon size container is strongly recommended) and wear:

·          helmet (mouth guards will be handed out at the first         practice)

·          practice jersey over a short sleeve light t-shirt

·          shorts and a cup

·          white socks

·          football spikes (no metal spikes are allowed)

·          After the first day, coaches may choose to add portions of the complete uniform. Each Team will announce any uniform changes on the day prior.

 

Cheerleaders - please bring water (a gallon size container is strongly recommended) and wear:

·          hair in pony tails (no jewelry is allowed)

·          tennis shoes with good support

·          t-shirt and shorts (no jean shorts)

 

As a final reminder, all sports physicals and missing paperwork must be turned in prior to the first day of practice.
